All are wireless for ease of set-up and transmit environmental data via radio waves. Designed for extreme conditions when viewing the temperature at the remote location is not required. THN sensors have no LCD display--data is transmitted via radio waves and viewed at your Oregon Scientific Weather station or console. For really severe environments, the model THN 138 can be powered by lithium batteries--it's safe to minus 40 degrees!
