The SNC-DF50N network camera model offers a DynaView wide dynamic range function to allow clear image capture in high-contrast lighting environments, and has Sony's patented ball joint lens mount for easy pan and tilt adjustment.

Other features include built-in intelligent motion/object detection in conjunction with Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA), multi-codec capabilities supporting JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 compression formats to increase flexibility and optimize bandwidth usage, Power over Ethernet, voice alert functions, and secure IEEE802.1X authentication.
