ComNav System Overview
The ComNav 1420 AutoPilot boasts Ghost Rudder, a feature that
allows the 1420 to use prior knowledge of how the rudder moves
to calculate a new "virtual rudder" position should the Rudder
Feedback ever fail. This allows the 1420 to still be used
until repairs can be made.
