The Vertex Standard VX-231-AD0B-5 PKG VHF Portable Radio Package includes the FNB-V103Li Battery and a VAC-300B Rapid Battery Charger. Along with 4 different scanning functions, this unit also features Vertex's exclusive Auto-Range Transponding System (ARTS). ARTS lets you know when other ARTS-equipped stations are within range of communication, and if a unit is out of range for more than two minutes, the radio can sense that it's not receiving a signal and alert you, so the base station can alert the field unit to get back within range.
