The Furuno BR530 Timer Reset Panel works as part of the BR500 BNWAS Bridge Navigation Watch Safety System. The watch officer presses the button on the Timer Reset Panel at defined intervals. If the watch officer does not press the button, alarms will go off. If the officer still doesn't respond to the alarm, the BR500 will transfer the alarm to the Cabin Panels installed throughout the vessel to notify backup officers of the emergency situation.
